Set in and around a real historic fort, this activity-based program is run by professional actors, using drama to engage children in real learning and great fun.
The General is coming to inspect the fort! Sergeant Wilson and Corporal Jones urgently need help to pass this final inspection.
“My grandchildren aged 6 (a girl) and 8 (a boy) absolutely loved the whole thing (surprisingly they went along with the whole “you’re in the Army now” approach). The facilitators could not have been more enthusiastic and related well to all of the participants. Their team activities provided good opportunities for all to play a valued role and support one another along the way. A great morning out in the fresh air with no screen time doing something they never expected they could do (or probably would not have thought they wanted to do.)”

“My two granddaughters totally enjoyed the program. All three actors took great parts and presented their characters very well. The two and a half hours with break was spot on with regards kids concentration. To involve the audience was well chosen. Even us adults were entertained.”

“We forgot to fill out the comments form. However I wanted to thank-you for offering such a wonderful experience for children. My kids loved taking part in “Holding the Fort” and I was kept well entertained too. The actors did a great job! It was a good mix of history and fun in amongst the beautiful ruins. They are already asking to return for another show.”
